Segregated Fund Investments

A segregated fund combines the performance potential of a mutual fund with the security of an insurance product. Like a mutual fund, a segregated fund is a collection of stocks, bonds and other investments that provide you with an opportunity to "grow" your investment capital. However, a mutual fund is a security, while a segregated fund is an insurance product. Please contact us for more information.

Why Segregated Funds? .. Because:

  • They have a maturity guarantee and death benefits
  • They are creditor protected (in most cases)
  • Executor fees of an estate do not apply to segregated funds
  • They are not subject to probate fees
  • Since they do not form part of the estate they are not subject to legal fees on the wrapping up of an estate
  • They have direct beneficiaries meaning the proceeds are in the hands of the heirs directly
